A BREEAM Certificate is issued by the BREEAM assessor. The assessor may only issue it after it has been released by the DGBC’s QA. 3 weeks after it is issued, it can also be seen on the BREEAM-NL website. As a result, the assessor is the one who issues the certificate and not the DGBC.
BREEAM stands for Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method. In the Netherlands, BREEAM is managed by the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC) and there are special adapted guidelines for the Netherlands. This is why BREEAM in the Netherlands is formally called BREEAM-NL.
BREEAM has four types of guidelines.
For new construction projects, there is BREEAM-NL New Construction.
Existing buildings are assessed with In-Use.
Demolition projects with Demolition and Dismantling
Complete areas with BREEAM-NL Area.
Building Revolution specialises mainly in New Construction, Area and In-Use.
