BREEAM Good is one of the easiest scores to achieve. Since the BRL V6 in In-Use, the In-Use scores are no longer the same as the other guidelines. Below is an explanation for each BREEAM guideline:
BREEAM Good New Building Guideline
In New Build, a BREEAM Pass is 45% and 2 stars. There are some mandatory components since the 2020 BREEAM guideline. This level is slightly higher than Buildings Decree and Pass
There are different levels of BREEAM certificates. BREEAM stands for Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method. The method originated in England and was developed by the Building Research Establishment (BRE). In the Netherlands, BREEAM is managed by the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC) and there are special adapted guidelines for the Netherlands, BREEAM in the Netherlands is therefore formally called BREEAM-NL.
BREEAM has four types of guidelines.
For new construction projects, there is BREEAM-NL New Build.
Existing buildings are assessed with In-Use.
Demolition projects with Demolition and Dismantling
Complete areas with BREEAM-NL Area.
