BREEAM Very Good

Building Revolution uses BREEAM in many projects.

BREEAM Very Good is already one of the more challenging scores. Since the BRL V6 in In-Use, the In-Use scores are no longer the same as the other guidelines. From Very Good onward, the percentages are the same, but the stars differ. Below is an explanation for each BREEAM guideline:

BREEAM Very Good New Build Guideline

In New Construction, a BREEAM Pass is 55% and 3 stars.
However, there are several mandatory components since the 2020 BREEAM Directive.
Credits MAN 03, MAN 04, MAN 05, HEA 01, HEA 04, ENE 01 (3 points), ENE 02, WAT 01, WAT 02, MAT 01 (2 points) and LE 04 have obligations.
This level is much higher than building code

BREEAM Very Good In-Use Guideline

In In-Use, a BREEAM Pass is 55% and 4 stars.
This has changed since the BREEAM guideline V6.

BREEAM Very Good Area Guideline

In Area is a BREEAM Very Good 55% and 3 stars.
There are some mandatory components since the 2018 BREEAM guideline.

BREEAM general

Er zijn verschillende niveaus BREEAM certificaten. BREEAM staat voor Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method. De methode komt oorspronkelijk uit Engeland en is ontwikkeld door het Building Research Establishment (BRE). In the Netherlands, BREEAM is managed by the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC) and there are special adapted guidelines for the Netherlands, BREEAM in the Netherlands is therefore formally called BREEAM-NL.
