BCI and MPG are also widely used to increase the sustainability of buildings.
Well also gives a certificate, but it sometimes even increases energy consumption because it focuses on health.
BREEAM
Building Revolution uses BREEAM in many projects.
BREEAM stands for Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method. The method originated in England and was developed by the Building Research Establishment (BRE). In the Netherlands, BREEAM is managed by the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC) and there are special adapted guidelines for the Netherlands, BREEAM in the Netherlands is therefore formally called BREEAM-NL.
BREEAM has 4 types of guidelines.
For new construction projects, there is BREEAM-NL New Build.
Existing buildings are assessed with In-Use.
Demolition Projects with Demolition and Dismantling.
Complete areas with BREEAM-NL Area.
Building Revolution is especially specialized in New Construction, Area and In-Use.
GPR (Municipal Practice Guideline) an advanced digital measurement tool, plays an essential role in measuring and evaluating the sustainability of buildings. This versatile tool is specifically designed to meet the needs of both residential and non-residential buildings.
GPR Gebouw is distinguished by its assessment of buildings according to five core sustainability themes: energy, environment, health, use quality and future value. Each theme is rigorously evaluated using report marks that range on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest possible score. These individual scores are combined to calculate a comprehensive GPR score. This score is then translated into a quality label that rewards the building with one to five stars. Here one star corresponds to the level of the Buildings Decree.
